Preparing for Field Trip to Skinny Bones

Next week Legacy School will be heading to Skinny Bones Pumpkin Patch for it’s annual Fall Festival! Is your student excited? Nervous? Check out the following 5 tips to make the best of your child’s visit at the pumpkin patch!

5 Tips To Preparing for Field Trip to Skinny Bones

Set out what you need the night before

Have your child set out their clothes and any warm gear the night before. We encourage students to wear their Legacy School shirts/sweatshirts with tennis shoes! Don’t forget to pack your sack lunch as well as there will be no lunch served at Legacy that day.

Get a good night’s rest

Field trips can be tiring as they are out of normal routine. Have your child get a good night’s rest before the trip to be ready for the fun!

Make sure to bring extra money

Skinny Bones has a lot of snacks and souvenirs for purchase at their Market and at Emmy’s, which is a picturesque barn with all of your favorite fall foods! We’re talking turkey legs, pulled pork sandwiches, and grilled burgers just to name a few!

Make sure you have your wristbands

Wristbands will be available at the school Tuesday, October 9th. Make sure you pick them up sometime before heading off to Skinny Bones Thursday morning!

After the field trip, talk with your child about their experience

Talking with your child about their experience will help them remember what they did and how great of an experience it was!

We can’t wait to see all of our students and their families at our Annual Fall Festival at Skinny Bones! We’ll see you there!

This scholarship can be used for college or trade school upon graduation from high school. We are very excited to give back to our students. We know each child has the potential to succeed at whatever goal they set for themselves. cCan’t wait to help your student celebrate their high school accomplishments and continue to their higher education.
