Ms. Shaw holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice and a Master’s Degree in Education. She taught in a Title 1 school for four years in Arizona before coming to Legacy in 2022.
I came from working at a Title 1 school, and I felt a difference when I walked into Legacy. I instantly saw the difference in attitudes from staff and students. Everyone was so welcoming, and I felt positivity immediately. I love the smaller class sizes and the ability to connect easily with the students.

What is your work experience that relates to children?
I spent the last four years working in a Title 1 school in downtown Glendale, AZ. I spent two years teaching 4th grade, one year teaching 6th grade, and my last year teaching 8th grade. I also coached girls flag football, girls soccer, girls basketball, and girls softball during my time there. We took flag football and basketball to the championship games.
What are your interests and hobbies?
I love football. I am a huge Louisiana State University fan and a Dallas Cowboys (Texas-born and raised) fan. So in the fall, that’s where you can find me during the weekends. I have a dog named Koko, who takes up much of my free time. I also love going on spur-of-the-moment adventures and traveling.
