Healthy Nutrition for Healthy Teeth

This weeks theme in our Preschool/PreK/JrK classes has been dental health. Students sang songs about brushing their teeth, discussed how to take care of their teeth in Science, and even had a in-house field trip with a dentist from Smile Station Pediatric Dentistry.

As we’ve learned this week, daily brushing and flossing is essential in keeping those sugar bugs away. Did you know nutrition and what we are feeding our children has an effect on their dental health and their day at school, too?

Giving our children nutrient-rich foods from all the food groups promotes healthy teeth and gums and re-charges and re-fuels them throughout the day. Nutrition gives children the energy to learn and play.
