Since Father’s Day is not until the middle of summer, we like to celebrate our Dad’s with a special Dad’s and Donuts event in March. Dad’s and Donuts was last Friday and this past Tuesday. Student’s got to enjoy a donut with their dad (or special guest) and got to show them around the school with a scavenger hunt. Many of our elementary classes also got to show their dad’s what they have been learning throughout the school year.
After the Dad’s and Donuts event, one student from each class was asked why they love their dad. Here’s their heartwarming responses:
Mrs. Rueb’s (T/Th) Preschool: I love my dad because he loves me and gives me candy.
Mrs. Wyant’s (T/Th) Preschool: I love my dad because he tickles my armpits.
Mrs. Rueb’s (MWF) Preschool: I love my dad because he lets us go into swimming pools, gives us candy, and helps us with Elsa & Ana projects.
Mrs. Huber’s Preschool: I love my dad because he is my best friend.
Mrs. Albright’s PreKindergarten: I love my dad because he hugs me.
Mrs. Weber’s PreKindergarten: I love my dad because I get to help him in the garden.
Mrs. Mingo’s (AM) PreKindergarten: I love my dad because he likes to play football with me.
Mrs. Mingo’s (PM) PreKindergarten: I love my dad because he gives the best kisses.
Mrs. Facca’s Jr. Kindergarten: I love my dad because he helps me play basketball in my basement.
Mrs. Whitehill’s Jr. Kindergarten: I love my dad because he plays tackle football with me.
Mrs. Timmermann’s Kindergarten: I love my dad because he brings me to the Mark. (The local bowling alley)
Mrs. Fryman’s 1st grade: I love my dad because he always snuggles with me and plays games with me.
Mrs. Jensen’s Multi-Age class: I love my dad because he wrestles with me.
We are all so thankful for our dad’s and special guests that came to our Dad’s and Donuts event. Not only do we celebrate you on this day, but every day!
