The Importance of Legacy School Parent-Teacher Conferences

It’s that time of the year! Fall parent-teacher conferences are on Monday, November 25th, at Legacy School, a private school in Omaha, Nebraska. During this time, teachers gather their students’ work and show parents the progress of their children at school. So, why exactly is it essential to attend a conference with your child’s teacher?

Why are Parent-Teacher Conferences Important?

1.) It’s an Opportunity to be Part of Your Child’s Learning Journey

By scheduling a conference with your child’s teacher, whether your child is in preschool or 6th grade, you are immersing yourself into what your child has been learning and what you can do as a parent to ensure they continue onto the right path. When parents get involved in their child’s education, teachers and parents can work together to create the best learning experience for each child.

2.) It’s a Time When You Can Ask Questions

At a parent-teacher conference, your child’s teacher has your undivided attention. On a typical day, the hustle and bustle of drop off and pick up often doesn’t allow time for all the questions you would like to ask. So, what better time than at parent-teacher conferences! Ask those hard questions to understand your child’s academic progress better.
