“Alone we can do so little, together we can do so much!” ~Helen Keller
School teachers and school administrators are not enemies. Therefore, they are on the same team as your family. It is easy to throw up our guard when a teacher or school administrator presents a problem or concern about our child. We get defensive.
It’s time to let that guard down.
Open Communication When Concerns Arise
We are Educated Professionals
Combined, Legacy’s administrators have over 29 years of teaching experience, with an additional ten years of owning Legacy School. Also, they hire teachers who have obtained a Bachelor’s degree or higher in education and have years of experience in a school type setting. As a result, they see your children in a different light than what you might see at home. Therefore, if they come to you with a concern, they genuinely want to work with your family to help correct the problem.
Open Communication Between Parents & School
Most importantly, at Legacy School we have an open communication door policy. Expressing your concerns and giving us the ability to express ours fosters a partnership between teacher and parent. Doing this helps your child grow into their fullest potential. In conclusion, if you have a question or are concerned about your child’s education at any time, a meeting may be scheduled with your child’s teacher or with an administrator.
Administrator, Kelly Pedersen, explains, “We are on a team together, working towards a common goal. Our teachers, along with Buffy and myself, are vested in your child’s growth and education.”
